Melanie Puente Ervin is an Afro-Latine

actor, singer, songwriter, and producer from Voorhees, New Jersey. Based in New York City, Melanie is passionate about expanding empathy and understanding through performance by representing her communities both on and off the stage. Melanie was recently seen in the national tour of Hairspray as a Dynamite and Motormouth Maybelle Understudy. Melanie was also featured in Scott Seigel’s Broadway: The Next Generation, formally Broadway Rising Stars.
